This is a fun experiment in fluid design and image rollovers using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The HTML is nothing more than an unordered list of links; the styling is all done with CSS. Readers using old browsers (like Netscape 4.x) or handheld devices that do not use style sheets will see nothing more than a bulleted list of hyperlinked letters ("b, o, x, e, s, etc."). Those of you hip enough to be using Mozilla or Opera can turn off the style sheet to see what I mean.
Each box contains a link, though they don't go anywhere. In a real application, each could link to a new page, and the picture could be something meaningful to the destination.
The content of this page is all original material, made from scratch. However, the idea was inspired by Dive Into Mark. I'm sure there are other similar designs out there. This is a sample page only, part of JPerrydesign.com. This page uses valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
